About Mark Stankiewicz

Mark Stankiewicz

An Artist/Educator with diverse skills, Mark Stankiewicz has a wide range of experience creating and teaching art. Growing up mostly in Hawai'i and Korea, he was fascinated by art and culture at an early age and was always drawing. He attended the University of Hawai'i, receiving his BFA in drawing & painting and his BA in art history. Stankiewicz set off for Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NYC, where he received an MFA in Photography with a certificate in Art Education. Curiosity in the darkroom led to a new type of photogram that Stankiewicz coined Stanograms - a cameraless photograph. He also creates drawings and paintings inspired by movement.
